Laurie Elliott, B.S., M.S., L.P.C.
Laurie Elliott annually trains hundreds of school board members throughout the nation supporting governance teams in directing their focus toward improving student outcomes. She, along with Dr. Marcia McMahon, also design and implement statewide governance frameworks based on Student Outcome Focused Governance as well as customize and support statewide governance coaching certification programs.
Laurie is a life-long educator with a career stemming from the classroom to upper administration. Previous to creating Elliott and McMahon LLC, she served as an educational consultant, monitor and conservator for the State of Texas. Now she works aligning the board’s focus on student outcomes with the work of the school for a positive impact on student achievement.
Dr. Marcia McMahon, Ed. D
Dr. Marcia McMahon has 20+ years of education experience and is currently coaching the Houston Independent School District’s school board through its high-profile and nationally publicized turn around efforts.
Dr. McMahon is a national leader in school board growth and transformation. She coaches hundreds of school board members each year and supports school boards in growing their leadership to focus on what matters most: student outcomes.
Dr. McMahon has served in multiple positions, including assistant superintendent, Texas Education Agency service center leadership specialist, principal, and teacher.
